| Make sure that you keep the tip locking nut and shield from the old heater unit you will need it on the heater ^^^ To replace the heater unit is a little tricky two thing that you to watch out for when taking the gun apart is the spring and the little black plastic release for the plastic tube ^^^ The connection to the heater is a little tricky you five wires two are for the heater element two are for the temperature sensor and the other one is ground wire ^^^ The best thing to use to connect the wires together is RED or blue colored wire terminals and cut the spade end or eye let or what ever end it has on it^^^ The easiest way to crimp the end is with a crimping tool or you can do it with a pair of vise grips ^^^ Putting the gun back together is a REAL pain in the *** because the spring and the small black plastic locking tab want to fly away as you are putting it back together ^^^ In the reviews that other people have comments about the wires burning up just outside of the ceramic housing this is very true from what I have seen but one thing I have noticed is the higher you have the heater temperature set to the faster this seems to happen ^^^ If the heater tube gets clogged up not the tips use a torch tip cleaner rod that has different size wire sizes and if that does not work then use a 1/16 “ drill bit and carefully drill the tube of heater where tip goes ^^^^.
